know that doomscrolling is changing my brain chemistry, but I just can’t stop.
Every thought I have becomes subtly influenced by the idea that there’s something better just around the corner. That the grass is greener somewhere else.
It’s not conscious, the sense of emptiness that comes from constantly looking into little windows of someone else's life. But it’s there, running in the background all the time.
The more I fixate on looking into those windows, the worse I get at seeing what’s inside my own house.
