About Me
I’m a painter creating intuitive, abstract works that explore memory, emotion, and the mystery of the inner world. My process is deeply responsive. Each piece evolves through layers of color, texture, and gesture until it reveals a space that feels both familiar and hard to place. I’m especially interested in how abstraction can hold things we can’t quite name: the feeling of a dream, a memory, or a place you’ve been before but can’t explain.
I work primarily in acrylic because it allows for quick layering and vibrant, sometimes synthetic colors. These bright tones reflect my fascination with the tension between aesthetic beauty and the hyper-commercialized world we live in.
After earning my BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, I wasn’t quite sure how to turn my art into a career, so instead, I spent years designing high-end events. That work taught me how to visualize experiences and bring them to life, but ultimately, it left little room for my own creativity. After years of telling myself I didn’t have the time or space to return to painting, I realized I couldn’t keep waiting. If not now, when?
Painting helps me access parts of myself that feel unreachable in daily life. I often think of my inner self as an ocean, vast and full of unknowns. Art is how I begin to explore those depths.
These days, I live just outside Philadelphia and balance my painting practice with raising a young daughter. Parenthood has sharpened my sense of urgency and helped me reconnect with who I’ve always been at my core.
The thing I care most about is getting my work in front of real people, those who want to live with art, not just view it in a gallery. I believe art is meant to be shared, to live in homes, and to invite reflection. If something in my work resonates with you, I hope you’ll reach out.
